Political, institutional, social, and cultural history of Great Britain, 1914-2010

Will be studied: the Rise of the Labour Party; World War I; the General Strike of 1926 and the Great Depression of the 1930s; World War II and the Home Front; the Welfare State and the Keynesian Consensus; the Consumer Society; the “Swinging Sixties”; the End of the British Empire; Immigration and Race Relations; the Winter of Discontent; the Thatcherite Revolution and New Labour.

NB: Les connaissances dispensées sur la période 1914-2010 durant le CM de L3ANM2CB sont attendues et évaluées en TD de L4ANM2CB.
